Douglas Wayne Barton, Sr., 65, widower of Dana Annette (Wallace) Barton, of Staunton, passed away on Wednesday, June 7, 2023 at Augusta Health in Fishersville.

Mr. Barton was born in Staunton, Virginia on August 6, 1957, a son of the late Eugene Carl Barton and Kathleen Elizabeth (Kelley) Barton Pitsenbarger.

Douglas was an airplane enthusiast and enjoyed taking flying lessons.

Surviving, is a son, D.W. Barton; a daughter, Misty Barton; a brother, Carl Barton (Lou); two sisters, Wilma Raybin and Brenda Robinson; and six grandchildren.

A memorial gathering will be held at a later date.

Coffman Funeral Home and Crematory at 230 Frontier Drive in Staunton is in charge of his arrangements.
