Marian Dorothy (Walters) Clemmer, 93, widow of Homer Hyde Clemmer of 510 Lee Jackson Highway, passed away Saturday, July 15, 2017 in Augusta Health in Fishersville.
Mrs. Clemmer was born on May 7, 1924 in New Market, a daughter of the late Stewart Lee and Nellie Jane (Dingledine) Walters.
Dorothy was a member of Christ Evangelical Lutheran Church and she was a homemaker. She enjoyed knitting, walking in the mall with her Mall Friends, and she enjoyed attending the Beverly Manor High School reunions of which she just attended her 74th Class Reunion.
In addition to her parents and husband, Mrs. Clemmer was preceded in death by a daughter, Jo Ellen (Clemmer) King; three brothers, Everett Walters, Linden L. Walters, Sr., and John Walters; and three sisters, Alice Fisher, Louise Miller, and Edith Shelley.
Surviving is a daughter, Bonnie C. Hogan and her husband Kenneth of Troutville; a grandson, Michael S. King; a son-in-law, Carl W. King and his wife Linda of Stuarts Draft; and a number of nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, July 18, 2017 in Coffman Funeral Home and Crematory.
A Celebration of life will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, July 19, 2017 in the Coffman Funeral Home Chapel by the Rev. William Bill Trice.
Burial will follow in Augusta Memorial Park.
Active pallbearers will be Michael S. King, Carl W. King, David R. King, Michael Burns, Michael Walters, Randy Fisher, and Linden L. Walters, Jr.
Coffman Funeral Home and Crematory, 230 Frontier Drive, Staunton is in charge of her arrangements.
