Doris Lee (Strickler) Roadcap, 64, wife of Garland H. Roadcap of
601 Spottswood Road, passed away Saturday, April 25, 2015 at her residence.
Mrs. Roadcap was born November 26, 1950 in Staunton, a daughter of the late Leonard and Clara (Johnson) Strickler.
Doris was a member of the First Baptist Church and was retired from Western State Hospital with twenty-five years of service. Mrs. Roadcap was known for her strong work ethic.
Surviving in addition to her husband of forty-five years, is a son, Ty H. Roadcap and his wife Teresa of Verona; three daughters, Carla M. Heath and her husband Frederick, Jr. of Verona, Melissa D. Payne and her husband Gary of Staunton and Kristy L. Didawick and her husband Russell of Harrisonburg; a brother, David Strickler of WV; a sister, Catherine Powell of Boydton; eleven grandchildren, Branden and his wife Jessica, Amanda, Christa, James, Marissa, Bradley Chase, Madison, Trenton, Zachary, Kayla and Tiffany; and three great-grandchildren, Brayden, Haley and Makayla.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Thursday, April 30, 2015 at Coffman Funeral Home and Crematory.
A Celebration of life will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Friday, May 1, 2015 in the Coffman Funeral Home Chapel by Dr. Rev. Steve Traylor.
Burial will follow in Oaklawn Memory Gardens.
Active pallbearers will be Russell Didawick, James Elder, Zachary Shields, Branden Heath, Bradley Shifflett, Daniel Shifflett and Trenton Shields.
