Doris Irene (Hilderbrand) Revercomb, 86, widow of Hugh Walker Buck Revercomb, Jr. of 36 Westgate Road, went to be with her Lord on Monday, August 15, 2016 at her residence.
Mrs. Revercomb was born on March 23, 1930 in Maiden, North Carolina, a daughter of the late Frank Odell Hilderbrand and Lucille (Knight) Braswell.
Doris was a member of the First Church of the Nazarene and was employed with Home Instead as a senior caregiver for over 10 years.
In addition to her husband and parents she was preceded in death by a step-mother, Ruby Hilderbrand; four brothers, Rudy, Paul, Donald and Raymond Hildebrand; three sisters, Hilda Hodge, Jackie Atkinson and Pat Williams.
Surviving is a son, James Revercomb and his wife Bonnie; a daughter, Brenda Eppard; two grandsons, Richard Eppard and his wife Amanda and Jason Revercomb; a granddaughter, Jenny Boxler and her companion Chad Sheffer; three great-grandchildren, Colby Boxler, Riley and Brody Revercomb; two brothers, Odell and Reed Hilderbrand; a sister, Faith Hilderbrand; a number of nieces and nephews; and a dear friend, Joyce Lane also survive.
The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Thursday, August 18, 2016 in the Coffman Funeral Home and Crematory and other times at the residence.
A Celebration of life will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Friday, August 19, 2016 in the First Church of the Nazarene by Rev. David Bailey.
Burial will follow in Augusta Memorial Park.
Active pallbearers will be Richard Eppard, Jason Revercomb, Colby Boxler, Hugh Sprouse, Wallace Sprouse, Jr. and Nolberto Villalobos.

Coffman Funeral Home and Crematory, 230 Frontier Drive, Staunton is in charge of her arrangements.
