Doris Stuart "Dot" Mace's Obituary
Doris Stuart Dot (Downs) Mace, 78, wife of Donald N. Mace Sr., of 32 Herlock Road passed away Thursday, May 29, 2014 at her residence.
Mrs. Mace was born on October 16, 1935 in Augusta County, a daughter of the late Marvin and Virginia (Beam) Downs.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Mace was preceded in death by a brother, Claude Downs.
Surviving in addition to her husband of 61 years is a son, Donald N. Mace, Jr. and wife Angie; two grandchildren, Shannon Mace and wife Shawn and Nathan Mace; a great-grandson, Conner Mace all of Stuarts Draft; three sisters-in-law, Bertha Downs of Staunton, Mary Rowe of Culloden, WVA and Betty Robertson of Casa Grande, AZ; a brother-in-law, Jack Mace and wife Peggy of Richmond and numerous nieces and nephews.
A private graveside service will be conducted in the Hebron Presbyterian Church Cemetery by Pastor John W. Ward.
It is suggested that those desiring make memorial contributions to the Shriners Hospital for Children, 2900 Rocky Point Drive, Tampa, FL 33607.
Coffman Funeral Home and Crematory, 230 Frontier Drive, Staunton is in charge of her arrangements.
