FT. DEFIANCE:

Dora Elaine (Wilfong) Aldhizer, 84, wife of James William Aldhizer of 120 Round Hill School Road passed on to her heavenly home on Wednesday, March 20, 2013 at the University of Virginia Medical Center in Charlottesville following complications from open heart surgery.
Mrs. Aldhizer was born August 6, 1928 in Pocahontas County, WV, a daughter of the late Asa Watkins and Edith (Spencer) Wilfong.
Elaine was a faithful member of Laurel Hill Baptist Church where she held numerous jobs and taught many years as an adult Sunday school teacher. She was an avid seamstress making clothes for her family. Her joy in life was her love for Christ and her grandchildren with their weekly calls. Elaine was a graduate of Green Bank High School in Green Bank, West Virginia and spent her lifetime as a loving, devoted Christian wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.
In addition to her parents Mrs. Aldhizer was preceded in death by her first husband, Carl T. Rosberg and a brother, Joe Wilfong.
Surviving in addition to her husband James, with whom she just celebrated on March 15, 2013 fifty years of marriage, is a son, Carl August Rosberg and his wife Cheryl of Waynesboro; three daughters, Beverly (Rosberg) Rowe and her husband Jim of Harrisonburg, Pat (Rosberg) Fahrney and her husband Ron of Grottoes and Kim (Aldhizer) Kiser and her husband Randy of Staunton; a sister and best friend, Louise (Wilfong) Wilmoth and her husband Paul of Staunton; a sister-in-law, Alice (Aldhizer) Ward of New Hope; seven grandchildren, Drew Rosberg and his wife Donna, Jodie Rowe, Kylor Eutsler and his wife Kara, Cameron Rosberg and his friend Ariel, Trafton Eutsler and his friend Jessica, Shannon Kiser and Scott Kiser; three great-grandchildren, Cameron Rosberg, Haley Rosberg and Caleb Rosberg and number of nieces and nephews also survive.
A Memorial service will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Saturday, March 23, 2013 at Laurel Hill Baptist Church in Verona by Rev. Wellford Tiller.
Burial will be private in Oaklawn Memory Gardens.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8:00 p.m. Friday, March 22, 2013 at Coffman Funeral Home and Crematory and the residence at other times.
Active pallbearers will be her grandsons, Drew Rosberg, Kylor Eutsler, Cameron Rosberg, Trafton Eutsler, Scott Kiser and her nephew, Roger Aldhizer.
Honorary pallbearers will be her granddaughters, Jodie Rowe and Shannon Kiser.
It is suggested those desiring make memorial contributions to Laurel Hill Baptist Church, 129 Old Laurel Hill Road, Verona, VA 24482.
Coffman Funeral Home and Crematory, 230 Frontier Drive, Staunton is in charge of her arrangements.
