Donna Kay (Johnson) Asbury Swisher, 66, of 68 Woodlee Road, and wife of E. Jack Swisher passed away Thursday, July 29, 2021 at Augusta Health in Fishersville.
Mrs. Swisher was born on August 24, 1954 in Staunton, a daughter of the late Theodore R. and Annie C. (Coffey) Johnson.
Mrs. Swisher retired from Legacy at North Augusta in Staunton where she was employed as a Medical Technician. Donna enjoyed traveling and most importantly was the time spent with her family.
In addition to her parents, Donna was preceded in death by a brother, Rodney T. Johnson and a sister, Rev. Linda D. Johnson.
Surviving in addition to her husband, to whom she was married on December 31, 2006 are four sisters, Irene J. Lawhorne of Fishersville, Dorothy J. Serrett Arey and her husband Ed of Staunton, Marie J. Hartman and her husband Paul of Staunton and Geneva J. Asbury of Martinsburg, WVA; a brother, Alfred Lee Johnson and his wife Elizabeth of Waynesboro; a very close niece, Amanda Dagostino and her husband Lino and their children Angelo, Dominic and Sofia; two nephews, Jeff Asbury and his wife Kim and Mikle Asbury and his wife Michelle; and six additional nieces and eight additional nephews also survive.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
A Celebration of life will be conducted 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, August 4, 2021 in Coffman Funeral Home Chapel by Pastor Wanda Myers.
Those who knew Mrs. Swisher, knew that she loved the colors purple and lavender. With that, if you so desire, please wear a purple or lavender memento in her memory.
Active pallbearers will be Larry Swisher, Mikle Asbury, Jeff Asbury, Lino Dagostino, Angelo Dagostino and Dominic Dagostino.
Burial will follow in Oaklawn Cemetery.
Coffman Funeral Home and Crematory, 230 Frontier Drive in Staunton is in charge of her arrangements.
