Donna Faye (Ashley) Propst, 74, wife of Leroy Virgil Propst, Jr. of Staunton, Virginia passed away on Tuesday, September 6, 2022 at the University of Virginia Medical Center in Charlottesville.

Mrs. Propst was born in Lynchburg, Virginia on December 13, 1947, a daughter of the late Robert Lee Ashley and Louise Betty (Jamerson) Ashley.

Donna retired from Western State Hospital as a Psychiatric Aide. She enjoyed attending gospel hymn sings and the company of her pet dog "Rusty".

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Propst was preceded in death by two brothers, William Ashley and Ronnie Ashley.

Surviving, in addition to her husband of nineteen years, is a son, C. G. Ryder and his wife, Jamie of Dooms; two daughters, Melinda Harlow and Marie Simmons and her husband, Justin all of Staunton; a sister, Barbara Williams of South Carolina; six grandchildren, Saera Harlow, Christian Harlow (Rita), Tripp Ryder, Baxter Ryder, Nathan Simmons, and Lu Lu Ryder; and a great-grandson, Greyson Fix.

The family will receive friends from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. on Sunday, September 11, 2022 at Coffman Funeral Home and Crematory.

A celebration of life will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, September 12, 2022 in the Coffman Funeral Home Chapel by Pastor Stewart McCarter.

Burial will follow in Oaklawn Memory Gardens.

Active pallbearers are Tripp Ryder, Christian Harlow, Baxter Ryder, Nathan Simmons, Keith Harper, Randy Griffin and Sam Propst.

Coffman Funeral Home and Crematory, 230 Frontier Drive, Staunton, is in charge of her arrangements.
