Donald Wayne Garrison, 70, husband of Sharon L. (Smyth) Garrison of 628 Stingy Hollow Road passed away Saturday, December 19, 2015 at his residence.

Donald was born on November 2, 1945 in Waynesboro, a son of Henry J. Garrison and the late Virginia (Donald) Garrison.

Mr. Garrison was a veteran of the United States Army. He was employed by Safeway Stores for twenty-five years and retired in 2005 from Wal-Mart. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and golfing.

In addition to his mother, Mr. Garrison was preceded in death by a brother, Gary Garrison.

Surviving in addition to his wife of ten years, and his father of Mint Spring are two sons, Paul A. Garrison of Boyce and Mark J. Garrison and his wife Mary of Midlothian; a step-daughter, Carie Colvin and her husband Kevin of Crimora; a sister, Kim Moore of Waynesboro; two grandchildren, Kaylee Garrison and Kyle Garrison; three-step grandchildren, Corey Colvin, Tyler Colvin and Waylon Craig; a step-great-grandchild, Annistyn Colvin; mother of his children, Dee Jenkins; a number of nieces and nephews; and his dog and best friend, Lacy also survive.

A Memorial service will be conducted at 3:00 p.m. Tuesday, December 22, 2015 at Coffman Funeral Home Chapel by Pastor John M. Ward.

The family will receive friends following the service.
