Donald Lee Donnie Landes, 65, husband of Gloria (Smith) Landes of
712 Middlebrook Road, passed away Thursday, November 30, 2017 at his residence.
Mr. Landes was born on September 15, 1952 in Staunton, a son of the late Ray Rufus and Mary Lee (Thomas) Landes.
Donnie was previously employed by Nielson Construction as a carpenter,
he was a life-time member of the NRA and a member of the Stonewall Rifle and Pistol Club. He enjoyed woodworking, fishing and riding his motorcycle, but Donnies greatest love was his family.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Landes was preceded in death by a brother, Gary Thomas Landes.
Mr. Landes was the last surviving member of his immediate family.
Surviving in addition to his wife of forty-six years, is a son, Michael H. Landes and his wife Doreen of Staunton; a daughter, Mary (Landes) Craig and her husband Shane of Churchville; six grandchildren, Mitchell Craig, Cullan Overbey, Nathan Landes, Jacob Craig, Destiny Craig, and Tiffeny Craig.
The family will receive friends from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Sunday, December 3, 2017 in the Coffman Funeral Home and Crematory.
A graveside service will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Monday, December 4, 2017 at Augusta Memorial Park by Rev. Golden Clark, Jr.
Active pallbearers will be Michael Landes, Mitchell Craig, Nathan Landes, Jacob Craig, Cullan Overbey, Shane Craig and Tim Lihos.
