Donald Norbert Bretthauer, 87, husband of Eunice Marie (Lee) Bretthauer, of Dabney's Road, Raphine, passed away on Thursday, December 30, 2021 at Augusta Health in Fishersville.

Mr. Bretthauer was born in Menasha, Wisconsin on September 20, 1934, a son of the late William Bretthauer and Rose (Paulowski) Bretthauer.

Donald retired from Unifi as an Assistant Plant Manager and was a United States Marine Corps Veteran. He enjoyed golf, hunting, fishing, and was an avid Green Bay Packers fan.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Bretthauer was preceded in death by a brother, William Bretthauer, Jr. and two sisters, Helen Mass and Alvina Schnese.

Surviving, in addition to his wife of 65 years, is a son, Norbert Scott Bretthauer and wife Ronda of Stuarts Draft; two daughters, Donna Wood of Staunton and Terri Wilburn of Mocksville, North Carolina; and three grandchildren, Aaron Wood and partner Sarra Baccino, Kasey Wilburn, and Alex Bretthauer.

A Private Memorial Service will be held in the Coffman Funeral Home Chapel.
