Dianna (Tomes) Helmick, 72, wife of Willies Lee Will Helmick of 819 Parkview Avenue, passed away Sunday, January 21, 2018 in the Augusta Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Fishersville.
Mrs. Helmick was born on November 15, 1945 in Waynesboro, Virginia, a daughter of the late Grover William and Gladys Estelle (Wade) Tomes.
Dianna was a member of Victory Worship Center and the Ladies Auxiliary of Eagles Lodge #680. She retired from the Department of Corrections as the Manager of Criminal Records.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by two daughters, Kimberley Paige Coffey and Leslie Estelle Helmick.
Surviving in addition to her loving husband of forty years, are five grandchildren, Kailey, Benjamin, and Alexandria Coffey, Elizabeth Montana Eavey and Ethan Lee Harris; a great-grandchild, Jamari Lee Eavey; two sisters, Charlotte (Tomes) Hodge and Sandra (Tomes) Marion; and a son-in-law, Andrew Dean Coffey.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, January 24, 2018 in the Coffman Funeral Home and Crematory.
A Celebration of Life will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Thursday, January 25, 2018 in the Coffman Funeral Home Chapel by Pastor Isca Mitchell.
Burial will follow in Oaklawn Memory Gardens.
Active pallbearers will be Phil Georganzis, Nicholas Georganzis, Tony Hodge, Mark Hodge, Paul Whitmer, and Brian Helmick.
