Dewey F. Youngerman, Jr.
STAUNTON-
Dewey Frederick Youngerman, Jr., 73, beloved husband of Lois L. (Capp) Youngerman and loving father, grandfather and great-grandfather of 109 Skyline Avenue, passed away, Monday, August 2, 2010 at his residence.
Mr. Youngerman was born July 21, 1937 in Huron, SD, a son of the late Dewey Frederick Youngerman, Sr. and Laura Bertha (Schiewsow) Youngerman.
Mr. Youngerman was retired from the U.S. Air Force after twenty years of service serving his country during the Vietnam War. Dewey was a letter carrier for the U.S. Postal Service and he was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. He enjoyed researching his familys genealogy.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Youngerman was preceded in death by a son, Leonard Dewey Youngerman; a brother, Delbert Youngerman and a sister, Bertha Youngerman.
In addition to his wife of forty-nine years, Mr. Youngerman is survived by two sons, Daniel Samuel Youngerman of TX and Dewey F. Youngerman, III of CA; two daughters, Rhonda L. Custer of TX and Lois L. Grepps of VA; two brothers, Melvin Youngerman of SD and George Youngerman of ND; nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren also survive.
A funeral service will be conducted 6:00 p.m. Thursday, August 5, 2010 in Coffman Funeral Home Chapel by Mr. Mike Swinson and Mr. Dale Jensen. The family will receive friends following the service.
A graveside service will be held in the Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery in Dallas, TX.
Coffman Funeral Home and Crematory, 230 Frontier Drive in Staunton is in charge of his arrangements.
