Denise Darcel (Coco) Almarode, 66, went home to Jesus and Elvis, peacefully on Saturday, December 14, 2024 at Augusta Health in Fishersville.

Mrs. Almarode was born in Logan County, West Virginia on May 29, 1958, the daughter of the late Willie Coco and Mary (Mullett) Coco.

Denise was a member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church and was previously employed by the Valley Community Services Board. A devoted mother, she was actively involved in community events and was known for her generosity and selflessness, always willing to lend a helping hand to those in need. Denise had a passion for her work, adored her animals, and, above all, cherished bringing joy to others with her infectious laughter and warm smile. In her leisure time, she enjoyed bowling and was a proud supporter of the Virginia State Police.

Denise will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her. We find comfort in knowing that she is now singing and dancing with Elvis, enjoying her eternal rest while keeping a loving watch over those she held dear.

Surviving, is a son, Blake Stacy and his wife, Diane of Greenville; a daughter, Megan Marie (Stacy) Regi and her fiancé, Luke Keaton of Greenville; two brothers, W. Sam Coco and his wife, Ginger of Suffolk and Jack Coco and his wife, Lisa of Baltimore, MD; five grandchildren, Philip, Justin, Jaxson, Braelynn, and Keira; and a number of nieces, nephews and adopted children.

A celebration of life will be scheduled at a later date, inviting everyone to gather, share stories, and honor Denise with their love and memories.
