Deena Jo (Ferguson) Meek, 55, wife of Lloyd S. Meek, of Greenville, passed away Tuesday, August 21, 2018 in the Shenandoah Hospice House in Fishersville.

Mrs. Meek was born on December 27, 1962 in Bluefield, West Virginia, a daughter of the late Jimmy, Sr. and Margaret (Chandler) Ferguson.

Deena was employed by Food Lion as a cashier and loved riding the motorcycle with her husband. She loved watching fireworks, her hobby of cross stitching, and spending time with her pets.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Meek was preceded in death by a brother, Jimmy Ferguson, Jr., and a grandson, Matthew Marshall.

Surviving in addition to her husband, is a son, Chris Marshall of Vesuvius; two daughters, Ashley Barnwell of Richmond, and Amanda Reed of West Virginia; six grandchildren; two sisters, Diane Cravens of Chesapeake, and Stacy Brock of Goldsboro, North Carolina; two sister-in-law's; four brother-in-law's; a number of nieces and nephews; and her devoted pets.

A Memorial service will be conducted 1:00 p.m. Monday, August 27, 2018 in Smyrna Presbyterian Church in Waynesboro by Rev. Warren Knott.

The family will receive friends following the service, in the fellowship hall.
