Debra Faye (Huffman) Pierce, 63, wife of Dennis Pierce of 33 Beverly Court, passed away on Wednesday, January 10, 2018 in Augusta Health in Fishersville.

Mrs. Pierce was born on February 18, 1954 in Staunton, a daughter of the late Homer and Margaret (Cupp) Huffman.

Debra was a receptionist for the Staunton Parks and Recreation since 1995. She was an amazing cook and enjoyed baking, traveling, and painting. Debras family meant everything to her and they always came first in her life. She was a wonderful wife, mother, and grandmother. She never met a stranger and never had a cross word for anyone. Debra was a loving and caring woman and will be missed by all who knew her.

Surviving in addition to her husband of 47 years is a son, Shaun Pierce and his wife Kristi of Houston, Texas; two daughters, Courtney McCrory and her husband Darrell of Greenville, and Brandy Lowery and her husband Chris of Staunton; three grandchildren, Dora, Joey, and Olivia; two brothers, Dan Huffman and his wife Beth of Raleigh, North Carolina and Hunter Huffman and his wife Lori of Waynesboro; a sister, Jody Huffman of Verona; special friends, Frank and JoAnn Swisher, Steve and Margaret Kyle, Larry and Jeanette Hull, Donald McKee and all the employees at Staunton Parks and Recreation; and numerous nieces and nephews also survive.

The family will receive friends from 5:00-7:00 p.m. Sunday, January 14, 2018 in the Coffman Funeral Home and Crematory.

A private graveside service will be held in Augusta Memorial Park.

It is suggested those desiring make memorial contributions to the St. Jude Childrens Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, Tennessee 38105-1942.
