Obituary

Debra Lynn (Freeman) Witt, 58, of Staunton, Virginia, passed away on Thursday, February 16, 2017 at Augusta Health after a courageous battle with rheumatoid arthritis. She was the beloved wife of Robert Edward Witt.
Mrs. Witt was born in Cincinnati, Ohio on October 20, 1958, a daughter of the late Winlock Thomas and Edith (Dalton) Freeman.
Debra was a member of Victory Baptist Church and had a passion to serve people and spent countless years as a waitress and later as a housewife. She enjoyed crafts and flower arranging.
In addition to her parents Debra was preceded in death by a brother, Tommy Freeman and a special friend, Lloyd Earl Moran.
Surviving in addition to her husband of 26 years, Debra leaves behind her daughter, Nina Carter; a step-son, Dustin Witt; a brother, Joey; two sisters, Christine and Marty; her cherished granddaughter, Anaya Green; and three step-grandchildren also survive.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service and other times at the residence, 3115 Morris Mill Rd, Staunton.
A Celebration of life will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, February 21, 2017 in the Coffman Funeral Home Chapel by Pastor Rader Ogden.
Burial will follow in Oaklawn Memory Gardens.
Active pallbearers will be Ted Babinger, Ricky Campbell, Glenn Graves, Issac Moore, Doug Hyden, and Kelly Carter Jr.
