Debra Ann 'Debbie' Porter's Obituary
Debra Ann Debbie Porter, 56, of 24 Eastgate Drive passed away Friday, July 15, 2016 at Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital following a brief illness.
Ms. Porter was born on February 16, 1960 in Gettysburg, Pennsylvania, a daughter of the late Olin Wade and Myrtle Mae (Riley) Porter.
Debbie was employed by Perdue Farms Inc. in Bridgewater with over twenty years of service working in production. She graduated in 1978 from Ft. Defiance High School and received an Associate Degree from Elizabeth Brant School of Business.
In addition to her parents, Ms. Porter was preceded in death by a brother, David Wayne Porter.
Surviving are two sisters, Kathrine Kathy Porter-Dugmore and Cynthia Cindy Porter; and a brother-in-law, Kevin Dugmore all of Verona.
A Celebration of Life will be conducted 7:00 p.m. Monday, August 15, 2016 in the Gathering Hall at Kings Daughters Community Health and Rehabilitation Center.
It is suggested those so desiring make memorial contributions to the St. Jude Childrens Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, Tennessee 38105-1942.
Coffman Funeral Home and Crematory, 230 Frontier Drive, Staunton, is in charge of her arrangements.
