Debra Dee (Sirk) Balser, 44, wife of Joseph Joe W. Balser, Jr. of
506 Austin Avenue passed away unexpectedly Saturday, October 16, 2010 at her residence.
Mrs. Balser was born September 27, 1966 in Staunton, a daughter of
Elmer Leroy Sirk of Verona and Minnie Jane (Campbell) Reed of Staunton.
Debra was a homemaker, she love her animals and worked very hard to support animals rights. Debra attended Robert E. Lee High School.
Mrs. Balser was preceded in death by a brother, Ricky Dale Sirk.
Surviving in addition to her parents and her husband, Mrs. Balser is survived by a son whom she dearly loved, Curtis William Balser of Staunton; her step-father Franklin J. Reed of Staunton and a number of nieces and nephews. She is also survived by her special pet Chihuahua dog Bambi.
The family will receive friends 6 to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, October 20, 2010 in the Coffman Funeral Home and Crematory.
A Graveside Service will be conducted 2:00p.m. Thursday, October 21, 2010 in Thornrose Cemetery by Pastor Joseph C. Brandon.
It is suggested those so desiring to make memorial contributions to the American Heart Association, 4217 Park Place Court, Glen Allen, VA 23060.
Coffman Home and Crematory, 230 Frontier Drive in Staunton is in charge of her arrangements.
