Obituary

Deborah Yvonne (Houff) Grimm, 75, wife of Carl C. Grimm, Jr. of Hotchkiss Road, Churchville, passed away Wednesday, June 10, 2026 at her residence.

Mrs. Grimm was born in Augusta County, Virginia on March 21, 1951, a daughter of the late David Harding Houff and Phyllis Irene (Berry) Houff.

Deborah was a member of Village Church and was retired from Averitt Express as a sales representative. She volunteered for ComfortCare Women’s Health, and was a member of Curves.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Jodi Lynn (Houff) Daggy; and a grandson, Brandon Miles Haggard.

Surviving in addition to her husband of forty-five years, are three sons,

Troy Wade Grimm (Lori) of Churchville, Frank David Areitta of Leesburg, VA, and Alan Leigh Grimm (Tammy) of Swoope; a sister, Sandy (Houff) Hall of Oklahoma; six grandchildren, Taylor Melinda Heizer, Andrew Wade Grimm, Tristan Hunter Grimm, Cody Lawrence Johnson, Whitney Brianne Arietta, and Zachary David Arietta; and five great-grandchildren, Johanna Heizer, Hallie Heizer, Kaylee Faye Campbell Johnson, Jase Brandon Johnson, and Wyatt Andrew Haggard.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. Thursday, June 18, 2026 in Coffman Funeral Home and Crematory.

A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, June 19, 2026 at Oaklawn Memory Gardens by Pastor Todd Yoder.

It is suggested those desiring may make memorial contributions to ComfortCare Women’s Health, 12 Hedgerow Drive, Staunton, Virginia 24401.
