David Walker Miller, 76, husband of Rosalee (Rowe) Miller of 476 Spitler Circle passed away Wednesday, August 1, 2012 at his residence after a brief battle with cancer.

Mr. Miller was born July 23, 1936 in Augusta County, a son of the late Paul and Marjorie (Heizer) Miller.

Mr. Miller was a member of the Bethel Presbyterian Church and had attended Woodrow Wilson High School. David proudly served in the United States Navy for four years; he loved his country and enjoyed talking about his time in the Navy. He had been previously employed with the Macke/Service American Company for thirty years as a vending mechanic and route supervisor. He enjoyed NASCAR, collecting coins and working puzzles. What he loved most was the good times he spent with his family.

In addition to his parents, David was preceded in death by his brothers, Jack and Fred Miller and two nephews, Doug Miller and Fred Miller, Jr.

David is survived by his wife, Rosalee who he married on February 12, 1960, and his children of whom he was so proud; his son, D.W. Miller and his wife Beth of Mint Spring; a daughter, Sheila Marks and her husband Jeff of Lyndhurst; granddaughter, Miranda Marks, who he loved so dearly and called her his little poggie-pie a sister, Sara Ann Lamb and her husband Charles of Greenville; sister-in-law, Janet Miller of Stuarts Draft and a number of nieces and nephews.

A Graveside service will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Saturday, August 4, 2012 in Bethel Presbyterian Church Cemetery by Pastor Joseph Joey Locklear.

The family will receive friends 6-8:00 p.m. Friday, August 3, 2012 in the Coffman Funeral Home and Crematory and other times at the residence.

The family would like to thank Dr. H. Lynn Moore for 52 years of loyal and loving medical care for our family and for the recent support received from the Augusta Health Hospice of the Shenandoah.
