David Hugh Leach, 68, widower of Tamara "Tammy" (Rankin) Leach, of Deerfield, passed away on Thursday, August 8, 2024 at Augusta Nursing and Rehab in Fishersville.

Mr. Leach was born in Staunton, Virginia on November 9, 1955, the youngest son of Hugh "Bill" Leach and Dorothy (Strickler) Leach who preceded him in death along with numerous uncles, aunts, and cousins.

David was an avid hunter and loved going to the camp in Highland County, where he spent as much time as he could hunting with his children, uncles, and cousins.

Surviving, is a son, Thomas "Tom Tom" Peters, Jr. and his wife, Sabrina of Deerfield; a daughter, Tristan Leach of Staunton; a brother, Cecil Leach and his wife, Judy of Churchville; three grandchildren, Parker, Jackson, and Sydney of Deerfield; and his very special friends, Barbara Sickles and Carol Scott of West Augusta.

In keeping with Mr. Leach's wishes, there will be no public services.

Coffman Funeral Home and Crematory, 230 Frontier Drive in Staunton is entrusted with his arrangements.
