David Miller Bartley, 61, husband of Sharon Kay (Sellers) Bartley, of Waynesboro, passed away on Sunday, January 5, 2025 at the Shenandoah Hospice House in Fishersville.

Mr. Bartley was born in Staunton, Virginia on February 1, 1963, the son of Betty (Miller) Bartley and the late Thomas D. Bartley.

David was a member of St. James Lutheran Church and was self-employed at the Fishersville Lunch Box and Market. He enjoyed fishing at Nags Head and watching sports.

Surviving, in addition to his mother of Waynesboro, and his wife of 21 years, is a son, Kaleb D. Bartley and his girlfriend, Alexis Smith of Waynesboro; a sister, Kay Bartley of Waynesboro; a sister-in-law, Pat Hanger and her husband, Tim; nephews, Chris Hanger and his wife, Katie and Nathan Hanger; and a great-niece, Frankie Jane Hanger.

The family will receive friends from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. on Sunday, January 12, 2025 at Coffman Funeral Home and Crematory.

A celebration of life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, January 13, 2025 at St. James Lutheran Church by Pastor Gordon Putnam.

Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Active pallbearers will be Jeremy Eavers, Dwight Craig, Derrick Coffey, Webb Shaffer, Michael Smiley, and Hunter Anderson.

Honorary pallbearer will be Billy Dotson Jr.

It is suggested that those desiring make memorial contributions to the Shenandoah Hospice House (Augusta Health Foundation, c/o Hospice of the Shenandoah, P.O. Box 1000 Fishersville, Virginia 22939).
