Darlene Elizabeth (Weaver) Craig, 74, of Alexander Street in Staunton, passed away Friday, January 5, 2024 at her residence.

Ms. Craig was born on October 19, 1949 in Staunton, a daughter of the late William David and Ruth Templeton (Knight) Weaver.

Ms. Craig was a member of Craigsville Southern Baptist Church and was retired from UVA Athletics after thirty years of service. Darlene enjoyed working outside and flower gardening. She was an avid fan of UVA football and basketball.

Survivors include a daughter, Melanie Ann Craig of Staunton; a son, Travis Craig and wife Amanda of West Virginia; a sister, Brenda Lee (Weaver) Hicks and husband James of Craigsville; four grandchildren, Nathan Craig, Alicyn Craig, Cian Craig and Emercyn Craig; and two nieces, Donna Cook and husband David and Lucinda Duff and husband Paul.

The family will receive friends from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, January 14, 2024 in the Coffman Funeral Home and Crematory.

A Graveside service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., Monday, January 15, 2024 in Oaklawn Memory Gardens by Mr. Danny Pritchett.
