Dana Susan Ransome, 37, of Reunion Street, Charlotte, North Carolina, passed away Sunday, December 16, 2018 in the Carolina HealthCare Center in Charlotte, North Carolina.
Miss Ransome was born on January 21, 1981 in Staunton, a daughter of Susie (Sanderson) Ransome-Durrette and the late Allen Angelo Ransome.
Dana was a member of the Rising Zion Baptist Church in Fairfield, she enjoyed playing corn hole, riding four-wheelers, and she loved spending time with her family, her godchildren, and hanging out with her special cousins, Dr. Katrina and Michael Herring and "Auntie" Nancy Herring.
In addition to her father, Miss Ransome was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Olden and Margaret Ransome; and maternal grandparents, Elwood and Doshie Sanderson.
Surviving in addition to her mother of Staunton, is her step-father, Clarence W. Durrette of Waynesboro; two brothers, Allen Jerome "A.J." Ransome and his wife Jamille of New Hope and C.W. Durrette of Charlotte, North Carolina; a half-sister, Nikki Adams-Maddox of Staunton; a niece, Kiersten Ransome; and nephew, Jasigh Ransome.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Friday, December 21, 2018 in the Coffman Funeral Home and Crematory.
A Celebration of life will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Saturday, December 22, 2018 in the Coffman Funeral Home Chapel by Pastor Nathaniel Perkins.
Burial will follow in Oaklawn Memory Gardens.
