WAYNESBORO:

Dale Lewis Smith, 41 husband of Rebecca Susie (Fitzgerald) Smith of Waynesboro, passed away Saturday, August 20, 2011 at his residence.
Dale was born in Miami, Florida on June 14, 1970 a son of Lena (Tate) Grubbs and the late Ralph James Smith.
Mr. Smith was a member of Church on the Hill and employed with Best Buy. He was an active member in his church mens group (The Lodge), taught Sunday school, and was a counselor at Smoky Mountain Christian Camp. His hobbies included writing, acting, music and dancing. Dale was a loving and committed husband and father his family was everything!
Surviving in addition to his wife and mother are two daughters, Anna Mackenzie and Emma Payton Smith; his step-father, Russell Grubbs; and a sister, Diane Hetrick also survive.
A Celebration of Life will be conducted at 6:30 p.m. on Friday, August 26, 2011 at the Church on the Hill by Pastor Brandon Williams.
The family will receive friends following the service.
It is suggested that memorial contributions be made to an educational fund for Dales children in care of Church on the Hill, P.O. Box 907, Fishersville, VA 22939.
Coffman Funeral Home and Crematory, 230 Frontier Drive in Staunton is in charge of his arrangements.
