Obituary

Curtis Wayne Shuey, 58, husband of Donna Kitra (Brooks) Shuey, of 61 Kendrick Avenue in Verona, passed away on Thursday, October 17, 2024.

Mr. Shuey was born in Staunton, Virginia on December 4, 1965 a son of Helen Lee (Dickson) Shuey and the late Roger Lee Shuey, Sr.

Curtis retired from Ascend Transportation as a truck driver, and worked for several other companies over the span of forty years. Throughout his career, he made many trucking friends. Curtis enjoyed motorcycle riding, and had a passion for cars and attending car shows. His motto was "If it don't shine, it ain't mine."

In addition to his father, Mr. Shuey was preceded in death by a brother, Bryan David Shuey.

Surviving, in addition to his mother of Verona and his wife of thirty-eight years, is a son, Curtis Wayne Shuey, Jr. of Staunton; two daughters, Krystal (Shuey) Harper and her husband, Jonathan "Jon" of Stuarts Draft and Charlene Tanner of Verona; three grandchildren, Brandon and Hunter Harper and Stephan Shuey; two brothers, Roger Lee Shuey, Jr. and his wife, Alesia of Verona and Derek Wayne Shuey of Grottoes; and a sister, Darlene (Shuey) Burns and her husband, Mike of Verona.

At his request there will be no public services.

Friends may visit the family anytime at their residence.

Coffman Funeral Home and Crematory, 230 Frontier Drive, Staunton is in charge of his arrangements.
