Curtis Billy Bill Musick, 77, husband of Phyllis Dickie Cash Musick of Augusta Springs passed away on Thursday, July 10, 2014 in Augusta Health in Fishersville.
Mr. Musick was born on July 17, 1936 in Cleveland, Virginia, a son of the late Burchard T. and Margie (Skeen) Musick.
Bill was a member of Miller Memorial Baptist Church and a veteran of the United States Air Force. He retired from Reynolds Metal in 1993 where he was employed as an electrician, and previously was employed with General Electric. He was a member of the Staunton Moose Lodge and liked to hunt and play baseball.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a step-son, Michael Shipe; two sisters, Margaret Adkins and Myrtle Musick; and a brother, Jack Musick.
Surviving in addition to his wife are two sons, Tony Musick and his wife Sherry of Callaway, and Scott Musick and his wife Judy of Waynesboro; a daughter, Carol Harrison and her husband Ben of Greensboro, NC; the mother of his children, Patricia (Sahms) Craighead of Verona; six brothers, Dick Musick and his wife Carolyn of Cleveland, VA; Gordon Musick and his wife Nancy of Richmond; Doug Musick and his wife Janice of Kingsport, TN; Kenneth Musick and his wife Teresa of Lebanon; Emmitt Musick of Cleveland, VA; and Allen Musick of Honaker; four sisters, Mary Smith of Bristol, VA; Annette Musick of Cleveland, VA; Edith Isenburg and her husband John of Kingsport, TN; and Sue Hite and her husband Jerry of Knoxville, TN; six grandchildren, Tyler Musick, Rachel Harrison, Benjamin Harrison, Alex Harrison, Heather Smith and her husband Doug, and Christopher Hewitt; two great-grandchildren, Kenley Smith and Everley Smith; special nieces and nephew, David Hoover and his wife Karen, Sarah Surface and her husband Steve, and Susan Jacobs and her husband Ron; and numerous other nieces and nephews also survive.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Sunday, July 13, 2014 in Coffman Funeral Home and Crematory and other times at the residence of his niece, Susan and Ron Jacobs, 124 Bradford Street, Swoope.
A Celebration of Life will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Monday, July 14, 2014 in Coffman Funeral Home Chapel by Pastor Tyler Clem.
Burial will follow in Oaklawn Memorial Gardens.
Active pallbearers will be Tyler Musick, David Hoover, Steve Surface, Ron Jacobs, Zachary Jacobs, Steve Smiley, Stephen Smiley, and Lee Wood.
Honorary pallbearers will be Benjamin Harrison, Alex Harrison, Rachel Harrison, Travis Richie, Justin Key, Samuel Jacobs, Owen Jacobs, Ricky Cash and members of the Miller Memorial Baptist Church.
