Conrad Lynn Carlson

STAUNTON:

Conrad Lynn Carlson, 22, of 463 Mt. Tabor Road passed away Sunday, April 3, 2011 in Staunton.
Mr. Carlson was born May 4, 1988 in Staunton, Virginia, a son of
Sylvia Lynn Burns.
Mr. Carlson was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents,
William and Janet Burns.
Conrad was a 2006 graduate of R.E. Lee High School and was currently furthering his education at Blue Ridge Community College as a diesel mechanic. He attended Joyful Sound Church, worked at Fisher Auto Parts in the warehouse and was a volunteer with the Swoope Fire Department. Conrad loved to hunt, fish, the outdoors and enjoyed staying busy and helping others.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by a brother, James L Carlson both of Staunton; his God parents, Scott and Mary Martin of Goshen and a number of cousins and many friends also survive.
A funeral service will be conducted 6:00 p.m. Saturday, April 9, 2011 in the Coffman Funeral Home Chapel by Pastors Michael Herring and Kevin Persinger.
The family will receive friends following the service.
Burial will be private.
Honorary pallbearers will be members of the Swoope Volunteer Fire Department.
It is suggested those so desiring to make memorial contributions to the Swoope Volunteer Fire Department, 697 Parkersburg Turnpike, Staunton, VA 24401.
Coffman Funeral Home and Crematory, 230 Frontier Drive in Staunton is in charge of his arrangements.
