Connie Kay Huffer, 64, of 2526 Lee Jackson Highway, passed away, Friday, April 9, 2010 in Augusta Health in Fishersville.
Miss Huffer was born on December 18, 1945 in Staunton, a daughter of the late Roy F. Huffer, Jr. and Loraine Agnes (Carper) Huffer.
Connie was employed at Maple Lawn Assisted Living where she worked as a nurse and cook. She was a wonderful caregiver and enjoyed NASCAR Racing. She was an avid Elvis Presley fan, Dale Earnhardt, Sr. and Jr. fan.
Survivors include a son, Roger Lee Miller and his friend Angel Long of Middlebrook; two daughters, Cynthia Ann Mays Staunton and Bonnie Kay Cochran and her husband Pete of Max Welton, WV; three sisters, Patsy Miller of Silver Springs, FL, Dale Marie Botkin of Staunton and Judy Butts of Las Vegas, NV; six grandchildren; three-great grandchildren; a very close and special cousin, Kathy Huffer of Mint Spring and a number of nieces and nephews also survive.
The family will receive friends Monday evening from 6 to 8:00 p.m. in Coffman Funeral Home and Crematory.
Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, April 13, 2010 in the Coffman Funeral Home Chapel by the Rev. Kevin Persinger.
Burial will follow in New Providence Church Cemetery in Newport.
Active pallbearers will be her son Roger Miller, Justin Rankin, William Botkin, Timothy Struble, Ronnie Cox and Scott Hewitt.
Honorary pallbearers will be Zebulon Armentrout, Ed Ramsey, Ronnie Smith, Zane Armentrout and Steven Huffer.
