It is with heavy hearts that the family of Claire-Lou Mace Kennedy announces her passing. After a long and courageous battle with depression, Claire felt as though the pain was too unbearable and chose to take her life on Wednesday, October 27, 2021.
Claire was born as a sweet bundle of joy in Dover, Delaware on October 23, 1965 to Richard and Antoinette Mace. Claire grew up and lived on her family farm, "The Little Pig Farm" in Federalsburg, Maryland until she moved to Virginia in 1991.
Claire's lifelong passions included: drawing beautiful portraits of her daughter, reading and listening to audio books, watching thrillers, spending time with her family, going to Church, being a sister, aunt, and wonderful mother to the love of her life, Sarah.
Claire's more recent passions included being a licensed massage therapist, playing with her sweet sidekick/guide dog Dusty Rose. She was also an exceptional "MeMaw" to her granddaughter, Raelyn who brought an abundance of joy and light to her life. \t
Claire will be forever loved and deeply missed by her daughter and son-in-law Sarah and Jason Lesich, her granddaughter Raelyn, her sister Paige Jefferson, her nieces Andrea and Allyson Jefferson and Cali Kennedy, her guide dog Dusty Rose, as well as her aunts, uncles, cousins, and many other family members and friends.
