Christopher "Bean" Randell Benson, 42, of Staunton, VA passed away last weekend at his home.
Chris was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, William Earman Sensabaugh and Ethel Sensabaugh, and his paternal grandmother, Mattie Elizabeth Campbell.
Christopher was the loving son of Randell Bailey Benson and wife Bea Frye Benson and Mary Jo Benson also of Staunton. Bean also is survived by his son, William Xavier Benson, 14, of Poquoson, VA and an older sister, Rene Benson-Skone, of Philadelphia, PA. "Benson" as he was lovingly called leaves behind many family members and friends. He loved his friends fiercely and they too are family.
Chris was a long time resident of Staunton and worked most recently for Dish Network. A brilliant mind and good with his hands and selling products, he excelled easily. However, his life and passions centered around his friends and family. He could always be found making others happy and laugh through his intense personality, joy for life, and his love of grilling food. An avid motorcyclist and gamer, every minute was loved to the fullest. He had served as a proud member of Staunton Augusta Rescue Squad and loved the mountains and area immensely. His greatest joy was probably riding the parkway on his bike, where he felt most himself and at peace.
In respecting Chris\u0027s wishes his family would like to invite all those that knew him and loved him to join together at a Family Gathering that will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday, September 15, 2018 in the Coffman Funeral Home and Crematory. Following the family gathering, please plan to gather at his family's church to celebrate the untimely passing of this wonderful life.
Coffman Funeral Home and Crematory, 230 Frontier Drive, Staunton, is in charge of his arrangements.
