Christie Lou (Baker) Piner, 59, wife of Keith Nathan Piner, of Staunton, passed away on Tuesday, November 25, 2025 at her residence.

Mrs. Piner was born in Staunton, Virginia on March 2, 1966, a daughter of the late Richard Owen Baker and Mary Christine (Tuma) Baker Powers.

Christie graduated from Buffalo Gap High School in 1984. She was most recently employed with Holtzman Oil Corporation, and prior to that, she worked with Shenandoah Valley Water.

Surviving, in addition to her husband of 33 years, is a son, Colin F. Piner of Staunton; a daughter, Madison "Maddy" C. Piner of Staunton; a brother, Danny Baker and his wife, Susan of Staunton; a sister, Robin Wilson and her husband Jerry of Verona; her step-mother, Sylvia (Wagner) Baker of Staunton; her mother-in-law, Betty (Gilmer) Piner of Waynesboro; sister-in-law, Heidi Piner; brother-in-law, Eric Piner; and a number of nieces, nephews, and cousins.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, December 4, 2025 at Coffman Funeral Home and Crematory.

Services will be private.

It is suggested that those desiring make memorial contributions to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, Tennessee 38105-1942.
