Cheryl Annette (Martin) Vaught, 59, wife of Henry Thomas Vaught of Stuarts Draft, passed away on Wednesday, November 2, 2022 at her residence.

Mrs. Vaught was born in Mecklenburg, North Carolina on January 27, 1963, a daughter of the late George Franklin Martin and Gladys (Clayton) Martin.

Cheryl was employed at Food Lion and enjoyed writing, watching football and playing with her granddaughter, Bailey.

Cheryl was the last surviving member of her immediate family.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Vaught was preceded in death by a brother, Eugene Martin and a sister, Doris Fretwell.

Surviving, in addition to her husband, are two daughters, Amber Vaught of Stuarts Draft and Haley Vaught of Staunton; a nephew, Shannon Fretwell; a great-niece, Sierra Fretwell; a great-nephew, Dakota Fretwell; fourteen grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and a special friend, Mary Carroll.

A graveside service will be held on Monday, November 7, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. at Rankin Church Cemetery by Pastor Doug Brooks.

Honorary pallbearers will be Marcus Henley, Trevian Henley, Charlie Vaught, Brian Shiflett, Russell Combs, and Chris Dawson.

Coffman Funeral Home and Crematory, 230 Frontier Drive in Staunton is in charge of her arrangements.
