Charlie D. Campbell
STAUNTON:
Charlie Daniel Danny Campbell, 43, of 163 Springcrest Lane, Staunton, passed away Saturday, (February 21, 2009) in Augusta County.
Danny was born in Staunton on January 28, 1966, a son of the late Joseph Robert Campbell, Sr. and Mrs. Betty Jo (Carroll) Campbell of Staunton.
Mr. Campbell was an avid hunter, he enjoyed racing his very own racecar and spending time with his friends, family, especially his children. He was an Auto Technician with the Staunton Auto Group.
Danny always had a smile on his face and a kind word for everyone. He was a member of Greenville United Methodist Church.
In addition to his father, Danny was preceded in death by a step-sister, Nancy Hendrix.
Surviving in addition to his mother with whom he made his home, is his wife whom he dearly loved, Mrs. Kimberly D. Campbell; three daughters, Angela D. Back, Amber C. Campbell and Ashleigh L. Campbell all of Staunton; a son, Philip Alexander "Alex" Irwin of Pittsburg, PA; two brothers, William T. Billy Daugherty of Grottoes and Joseph R. Joe Campbell, Jr.
of Stuarts Draft; an aunt, Mrs. Mabel Campbell of Staunton; a nephew, Clay Daugherty; two nieces, Molly and Allison Campbell and a number of cousins.
Honorary pallbearers will be Oscar Graham, Vernon Rowe, Dennis Cason, G.L. Allen, Gary Wilsher, Wayt Campbell, Stephanie Painter, Joe Campbell and Dennis and J.D. Carroll.
A service celebrating Dannys life will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Thursday, (February 26, 2009) in the Coffman Funeral Home Chapel by the Rev. Dr. Kevin W. Haynes.
Burial will be private in the Greenville United Methodist Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service in the funeral home or at other times the residence of his mother at 163 Springcrest Lane, Apt. 105, Staunton.
It is suggested those desiring make memorial contributions to Greenville United Methodist Church Building Fund, P.O. Box 250, Greenville, Va. 24440 or to the Stuarts Draft Rescue Squad, P.O. Box 260, Stuarts Draft, Va. 24477.
Coffman Funeral Home and Crematory, 230 Frontier Drive is in charge of his arrangements.
