Charles Richard Riley, 60, of Powhatan, passed away on Wednesday, January 11, 2023.

Mr. Riley was born on February 9, 1962 in Lexington, Virginia, a son of Frances (Riley) Throckmorton and the late Charles Franklin Riley.

Charles graduated from Rockbridge High School and spent a short time in the United States Army as a truck driver and welder.

In addition to his father, Mr. Riley was preceded in death by a brother, Kenny Riley.

Surviving, in addition to his mother, is a daughter; Amanda Louise (Riley) Carroll; three sisters, Patricia Camden of Buena Vista, Ellen VanNatten of Lexington, and Tammy Allen of Richmond; four brothers, Larry Riley of Tennessee, Dennis Riley of Buena Vista, Thomas Riley of Fairfield, and Aubrey Throckmorton, Jr. of Richmond; and a number of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

As per Mr. Riley's request, he will be cremated and a private service will be held at a later date.

Coffman Funeral Home and Crematory, 230 Frontier Drive in Staunton, is in charge of his arrangements.
