Charles Monroe "Charlie" Brown, Jr., 89, of 235 Jericho Road, Fishersville, passed away Monday, January 25, 2021 at his residence.

Mr. Brown was born in Fishersville, Virginia on October 2, 1931, a son of the late Charles Monroe Brown, Sr. and Elsie Lee (Monroe) Brown.

Charlie was a member of Linden Heights Baptist Church, a veteran of the United States Army serving during the Korean War and retired from Lowe's of Harrisonburg. He enjoyed hunting and was a good friend to all.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Brown was preceded in death by three brothers, Theodore Brown, Maynard Brown, and Tom Brown; and four sisters, Vera Brown, Alice Staton, Mildred Bower, and Carolyn Brown.

Surviving are two daughters, Carole B. Huffman and her husband Bryan of Staunton and Susan E. Brown of Afton; two grandchildren, Kristin Huffman and Ashley Huffman; five brothers, Hubert Brown of Fishersville, Leonard Brown and his wife Jean of Brownsville, Texas, Boyd "Buck" Brown and his wife Mackie of Staunton, Lester Brown and his wife Carol of Headwaters, and Gary Brown and his wife Dreama of Greenville; three sisters, Joyce Clatterbaugh and her husband Vaiden of Churchville, Dot Hancock-Hall of Staunton, and Elizabeth Little and her husband Mike of Fishersville; a number of nieces and nephews; and special caregiver, Ronnie Jackson.

The family will receive friends from 12:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Thursday, January 28, 2021 in the Coffman Funeral Home and Crematory.

A graveside service will be held 2:00 p.m. Friday, January 29, 2021 in Augusta Memorial Park by Pastor Luke B. Smith.

(Due to the COVID-19 Pandemic all current guidelines and restrictions will be followed.)

In lieu of flowers donations may be given to Augusta Health Foundation, c/o Hospice of the Shenandoah, Post Office Box 1000, Fishersville, Virginia 22939.

The family would like to extend a special "Thank You" to his Hospice nurses Jenn, Sandra and Brandi.
