Cecil Eugene Shuey, 68, formerly of 304 Powell passed away Friday evening, January 22, 2010 in Augusta Health.
Mr. Shuey was born on April 21, 1941 in Augusta County, a son of the late William Hallie Shuey and Nellie Madaline (Shifflett) Shuey.
Cecil was employed with Triangle Realtors in the maintenance department and attended Heavens Golden Gate Church. He enjoyed traveling and camping.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Shuey was preceded in death by his first wife, Rosie L. (Woodson) Shuey, his second wife, Katie Ruth (Brock) Shuey, three brothers, Donnie Lee Shuey, William Shuey and Merle Shuey and two sisters, Gertrude M. Shull and Hallie M. Agnor.
Mr. Shuey is survived by a brother and sister-in-law, Roger Lee Shuey and his wife Helen of Verona; a sister and brother-in-law, Dorothy A. Wallace Shull and her husband Boyd of Waynesboro; a number of nieces and nephews and special friends, Mark Weatherholtz, Allen Dahl and Thomas Dahl.
Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, January 26, 2010 in the Coffman Funeral Home Chapel by the Rev. Golden C. Clark, Jr.
Burial will follow in Oaklawn Memory Gardens.
The family will receive friends Monday evening from 6 to 8:00 p.m. in the funeral home.
Active pallbearers will be Ronnie Cox, Kenny Hartman, Gary Ralston, Ronnie Piner, Mark Varner and John Hunter.
