Cecil Daniel Coleman's Obituary

Cecil Daniel Coleman, 91, husband of Ruby (Adams) Coleman of Staunton, passed away Wednesday, October 3, 2012 at the University of Virginia Hospital in Charlottesville.

Mr. Coleman was born April 30, 1921 in Charlottesville, a son of the late John Coleman and Hannah (Robinson) Coleman.

Mr. Coleman was retired from the C\u0026O Railroad and attended Craigsville Southern Baptist Church. He was a veteran of United States Navy and served during World War II. Cecil was a former member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1827 and the Staunton Moose Lodge #1635.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Hilda Wolfrey.

Surviving in addition to his wife are three sons, Daniel Coleman of Scottsville, Stephen Coleman of Fredericksburg and Gary Coleman of Charlottesville; a daughter, Carolyn Cawthorne of Lynchburg; four step-sons, Randy Pharr, Dennis Pharr, Harry Pharr and Claude (Rusty) Pharr all of Statesville, NC; a step-daughter, Dana Loveland of Camden, NY; three grandchildren, six great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.

All services will be private.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Craigsville Southern Baptist Church, c/o of Fred Benson, P.O. Box 725, Craigsville, VA 24430.
