Obituary

Cecil Theodore Campbell, 81, husband of Carolyn Zane (Quick) Campbell of Waynesboro, passed away on Tuesday, June 28, 2022 at his residence.

Mr. Campbell was born in Swoope, Virginia on June 25, 1941, the son of the late Archie Campbell, Sr. and Carrie Kern (Cason) Campbell.

Cecil was a veteran of the United States Navy and a member of Fishersville Baptist Church, where he was the chairman for the building and grounds. He was a past president of the Sherando Lyndhurst Ruritan Club, a member of the Preston L. Yancey Fire Company, the owner of C & C Sealing, and retired from Moore Brothers Construction as a heavy equipment mechanic. Mr. Campbell enjoyed watching NASCAR racing and loved spending time with his grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Campbell was preceded in death by a brother, Archie Campbell, Jr. and two sisters, Pauline Mae Campbell and Helen Gladys Varner.

Surviving, in addition to his wife of fifty-four years, is a daughter, Donna Rankin and her husband Michael of Waynesboro; a sister, Sallie Feaganes and her husband Otis of Staunton; two grandchildren, Carrie Snead and her fiancé Shaun Kinsinger and Sara Weade; two great-grandchildren, Kyndal Weade and Mason Weade; a step-grandson, Derrick Rankin and his wife Jennifer; two step-great-grandchildren, Owen Rankin and Hudson Rankin; and a special brother-in-law, Calvin Earl Campbell.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 30, 2022 at Coffman Funeral Home and Crematory and other times at their residence.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, July 1, 2022 at Fishersville Baptist Church by Pastor Steven Lookabaugh.

Burial will follow in Augusta Memorial Park.

Active Pallbearers will be Shaun Kinsinger, Travis Smith, Tony Zimmerman, Joe Love, Jim Feaganes, Wendall Coleman and Tommy Cash.

Honorary Pallbearers will be grandchildren and members of the Fishersville Baptist Church.

It is suggested those desiring make memorial contributions to the Preston L. Yancey Fire Company, 2015 Jefferson Highway, Fishersville, VA 22939.
