Catherine Corrine Kohus's Obituary
Catherine Corrine Kohus, 55, of Staunton passed away Tuesday, April 23, 2019 at her residence.
Catherine was born on January 16, 1964 in Ohio, a daughter of Madeleine Jane (Kennedy) Bond and the late William Clifford Kohus.
She was employed with McKesson Corporation and a member of the Mint Spring Ruritan Club and the Augusta Bird Club. Catherine enjoyed bird watching, photography, loved animals, and was very generous.
Surviving in addition to her mother, is her son, Takota Schauer; three sisters, Peggy Kohus, Barbara Snyder and her husband David, and Maureen Hussey and her husband Wayne; and a godson, David Snyder IV.
A celebration of life will be held 1:00 p.m. on Monday, May 13, 2019 at the Mint Spring United Methodist Church by Pastor Ryan Oswald.
The family will receive friends following the service, at the Mint Spring Ruritan Club.
Catherine loved animals and was active with the Virginia Wildlife Center, The Nature Conservancy, and the SPCA in Staunton. In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorial contributions be made in her honor to www.wildlifecenter.org.
Coffman Funeral Home and Crematory, 230 Frontier Drive, Staunton, is in charge of her arrangements.
