Catherine Sue "Cathy" Toman, 67, of Fraser Lane, Staunton, passed away on Thursday, January 20, 2022 at Augusta Health in Fishersville.

Ms. Toman was born in Staunton, Virginia on November 17, 1954, a daughter of the late Leonard Wheeler Toman and Catherine Precious (Huffman) Toman.

Cathy retired in 2021 from Hershey's and attended St. John's United Methodist Church. She enjoyed flower gardening, decorating and was a rescuer of cats. Cathy loved God's creation and all that He placed in it. She loved spending time with her family, whom she dearly loved, and will be remembered for having a passion to help others.

Surviving, is a brother, Gary D. Toman of Verona; four sisters, Rebecca Ann Bruce of Staunton, Janice Johnson and Ella M. Huffman and her husband Scott all of Verona, and Joyce F. Miller of Goochland; special friend, Nick Davis of Waynesboro; nieces and nephews, Cheryl, Jeffrey, Shelley, Shawn, Kris, Jennifer, and Jessica; and her fur babies, "C.C.", Rain, Raven, and Caterina.

A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, January 28, 2022 in the Mausoleum at Oaklawn Mausoleum and Memory Gardens by Reverend William "Bill" Trice.

The family will receive friends following the service.

The family would like to express a sincere "Thank you" to Cathy's medical team at Augusta Health for the care and compassion shown to her and her family.
