CARSON E. BRYANT

GREENVILLE:

Carson Eugene Bryant, 61, of 5028 Lee Jackson Hwy, passed away Wednesday morning, February 18, 2009 at the home of his mother with family by his side.
Mr. Bryant was born October 12, 1947 in Lexington, a son of the late Fishburne B. Bryant and Ocie L. (Fitzgerald) Bryant Campbell.
In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother Eula Fitzgerald.
Carson became the owner of Bryant Livestock in 1975. He was passionate about farming and prior to 1975, he was a construction foreman for Triangle Builders owned by Harry Dahl. He attended the Middlebrook Church of God.
In addition to his mother and step-father, Lawrence Campbell of Greenville, survivors include two daughters, Lisa Bryant of Greenville and Melissa Bryant of Fairfield; his only brother Danny Bryant of Greenville, his former wife and friend of 43 years, Elizabeth Nicky Bryant of Fishersville who was diligently by his side; his mother-in-law and father-in-law Jane Grannie and Jerald Newman of Fairfield; a very special young man, Scott Buchanan who was like a son. Also surviving is a special niece, Danelle Bryant-Moran and a special great-nephew, Jaxon Moran.
Active pallbearers will be Donald Bryant, Scott Buchanan, Dr. Rob Marsh, Barry Perkins, Wade Haislip, Mike Bezok, Joe Furr, Derek Almarode, Darrin Crosier and Dickie Bartley.
Honorary pallbearers will be Barbara Sullivan, Helen Carter, Frances Rowe, Harriet Allen, Danelle Bryant- Moran and Alesia Bryant.
A celebration of Carsons life will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, February 21, 2009 in the Coffman Funeral Home Chapel by the Rev. Merle Dodson.
Burial will be in the Mt. Carmel Presbyterian Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. this evening, Friday, February 20, 2009 in the Coffman Funeral Home and Crematory or other times at the residence of his mother.
