Carrie Lynn Humphreys, 55, passed away at her home in Minneapolis, Minnesota on Saturday, February 15, 2025 after a valiant struggle with colon cancer.

Carrie was born in Waynesboro, Virginia on June 24, 1969 to Patsy Noe and the late Wilson Humphreys.

In addition to her mother, survivors include two half-brothers, Steve Humphreys and his wife, Debbie of Lyndhurst, Virginia and DJ Humphreys and wife, Diana of Stuarts Draft, Virginia.

Carrie graduated from Waynesboro High School in 1987. She served as manager and trainer in various retail and food service settings, and as a beloved children and youth minister with the Lutheran Church. In work and in life, she consistently committed her time to making the world around her more welcoming, just, and joyful. Even to the end, her spirit of joy, hope, and love blessed all around her, especially her partner, Cathy and her mother, Patsy.

A service of remembrance led by Pastor Janet Knott will be held on Saturday, March 1, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. at Sherando Community Church, 2022 Howardsville Turnpike, Stuarts Draft, VA.

A Lutheran funeral service and interment will be held later in the spring.
