Carolyn Lee (Lucas) Tusing's Obituary
Carolyn Lee (Lucas) Tusing, 73, wife of Richard L. Tusing of Staunton and Mt. Jackson, passed away Wednesday, May 27, 2015 at Augusta Health in Fishersville.
Mrs. Tusing was born on March 20, 1942 in Woodstock, a daughter of the late Arthur Lee and Onna (Lutz) Lucas.
Carolyn was a member of St. Pauls United Church of Christ in Woodstock. She was a homemaker, she enjoyed helping her son at the Michael B. Tusing Gallery in Staunton, raising miniature horses on their family farm in Mt. Jackson, beautiful jewelry, art and decorating. Carolyn was a very loving and supportive wife, mother and friend.
Surviving in addition to her husband of fifty-five years, is a son Michael B. Tusing of Staunton; a daughter, Dawn T. Burris of Charlottesville; a sister, Donna L. Payne of Huntsville, AL; and a grandson, Jon-Ryan Burris.
A Celebration of life will be conducted at a later date.
Burial will be private in Sunset View Memorial Gardens in Woodstock.
It is suggested those desiring make memorial contributions to the St. Pauls United Church of Christ, 235 S. Main Street, Woodstock, VA 22664 or the Shenandoah County Animal Shelter, 268 Landfill Road, Edinburg, VA 22824.
Coffman Funeral Home and Crematory, 230 Frontier Drive Staunton is in charge of her arrangements.
