Carolyn Grace (Burton) Holmes, 41, wife of Corey Alan Holmes, of Waynesboro, passed away on Monday, June 17, 2024 at the University of Virginia Medical Center in Charlottesville.

Mrs. Holmes was born in Columbia, South Carolina on October 13, 1982, a daughter of Gayle Burton Campbell and the late Thomas C. Burton, Jr.

Carolyn was employed at the Amazon Fulfillment Center in Fishersville. She was an avid animal lover and leaves behind her fur babies, Jace and Ariel.

Surviving, in addition to her husband of 16 years, are three children, Samule Kyle Burton, Peyton Grace Holmes, and Braydon Alan Holmes; three sisters, Jennifer Barnhill of Englewood, FL, Barbara McCollum and her husband, Curt of Land O'Lakes, FL, and Sharron Kesler of Lakeland, FL; a brother, William Thomas Burton of Lakeland, FL; her parents-in-law, Steve and Iris Holmes; a brother-in-law, Chad Holmes and his wife, Faith; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A celebration of life will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, June 21, 2024 in the Coffman Funeral Home Chapel by Pastors Mike Smith and Don Martin. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.

Burial will follow in Riverview Cemetery.

Carolyn was an organ donor and in her passing, she gave the gift of life.
