Carolyn Marie (Day) Sorrells, 72, widow of Ray Sorrells of Raphine, passed away on Tuesday, July 19, 2022 at Augusta Health in Fishersville.

Mrs. Sorrells was born in Lexington, Virginia on February 18, 1950, the daughter of the late George William Day and Peggy (Lunsford) Day.

Carolyn was a member of Old Providence ARP Church. Her family and grandchildren were her whole world.

Surviving, are three sons, Travis W. Sorrells and Eric K. Sorrells of Raphine, and Tracy L. Sorrells and his fiancée Lisa Cates of Fairfield; a daughter, Stacy S. Clemmer and her husband Philip of Middlebrook; a brother, Robert "Bob" Day and his wife Debbie of Fairfield; three grandchildren, Kayla Clemmer, Justin Clemmer, and Cyrus Clemmer; a special niece, Julia Day of Richmond; a special aunt, Henrietta and her husband Layne King; and a special cousin, Talitha Davis.

A graveside service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, July 22, 2022 in the Old Providence ARP Church Cemetery by Pastor Patrick Malphrus.
