Carl Lee Campbell, 81, of McCutchen School Lane, Goshen, passed away Monday, February 8, 2021 at the Martinsburg VA Medical Center in Martinsburg, West Virginia.
Mr. Campbell was born in Goshen, Virginia on December 19, 1939, a son of the late Stewart Thompson and Neader Pearl (Massey) Campbell.
Carl was a member of the Estaline Valley Church of the Nazarene, a veteran of the United States Army, and retired in 2001 from Stillwater as a supervisor with over thirty-five years of service. He was a member of the Staunton Moose, liked playing senior bingo, and taking summer trips with his family. Carl was an avid hunter, fisherman, and enjoyed spending time in his garden.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Campbell was preceded in death by a brother, Lynwood T. Campbell; and three sisters, Louise Grogg, Venita McCray, and Dora Lee Sprouse.
Surviving are four sons, Gary Campbell and his wife Frankie of Swoope, Rodney Campbell and his wife Mary of Churchville, Darryl Campbell and his wife Sue of Swoope, and Phillip Hall and his wife Teena of Crimora; a stepson, Christopher Sprouse of Craigsville; three daughters, JoAnn Giles and her husband Stuart of Staunton, Stephanie Jackson of North Carolina, and April Campbell of Craigsville; two brothers, Albert Campbell of Waynesboro and Zane Campbell of Stuarts Draft; a sister, Willie Ann Jolly of Craigsville; sixteen grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews.
Family and friends may pay their respects from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Sunday, February 14, 2021 at Coffman Funeral Home and Crematory.
A private celebration of life will be held in the Coffman Funeral Home Chapel by Pastor Michael Lawson.
Burial will follow in the Little River Church of the Brethren Cemetery.
Active pallbearers will be Caden Puffenbarger, Trenton Campbell, Steve Sheffer, Hunter Hall, Derek Campbell, and Daniel Sprouse.
Honorary pallbearer will be Sanford Sprouse.
