Carl Warren Brown, 60, of Fishersville, Virginia passed away on Friday, September 30, 2022 at his residence.

Mr. Brown was born in Nelson County, Virginia on May 4, 1962, a son of Annie (Page) Brown and the late Ernest Brown.

Carl was the owner of Brown's Refrigeration and HVAC, and retired from The Hershey Company in Stuarts Draft. He enjoyed music and was known as D.J. Hawk. Carl loved his family, grandchildren and his customers, and was always willing to do anything for anyone.

In addition to his father, Mr. Brown was preceded in death by a brother, Roy Brown and a sister, Carol Fitch.

Surviving, in addition to his mother, are his children, Denika Jones (Michael), Dante Wright, and Dana Brown (Terrence); a brother, Ernest E. Brown; two sisters, Evelyn Strother (Johnny) and Debbie Franklin (Wayne); a sister-in-law, Sonya Brown; a brother-in-law, Gary Fitch; eight grandchildren, Paris, Ja'Saun, Jamarian, London, Jakyra, Saniyah, Michael Jr., and Sakyra; special friends, Teresa and Nathaniel Crawford and Idena Flipping; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 15, 2022 at Coffman Funeral Home and Crematory, Staunton.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, October 16, 2022 at the Best Western Plus Inn and Suites Conference Center, 109 Apple Tree Lane, Waynesboro.
