Obituary

Carl Allen Bailey, 67, of Staunton passed away Wednesday, August 16, 2017.
Mr. Bailey was born on June 10, 1950 in Quantico, Virginia, a son of the late Jordan Wesley and Helen Annie (Simmons) Bailey.
Carl was a self-employed realtor, trained in classical music, and performed with local bands such as Gabby Haze Band and The Soul Shakers. He played the keyboard, saxophone, and flute, and sang harmony. He enjoyed fishing, canoeing and spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. He was also a beloved member of the US group.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Bailey was preceded in death by a son, Eric Sebastian Bailey.
Surviving are two daughters, Rachel (Bailey) Lyons and her husband Chris of Frederick, Maryland and Meg Allyn Bailey of Staunton, Virginia; two grandchildren, Gabriel Bailey and Anna Lyons; a brother, John Thomas Bailey and his wife June DeMaria and their three sons, Wes, John, and Patrick Bailey of Manassas, Virginia; ; daughter-in-law, Abigail Gaines of Harrisonburg, Virginia; and mother of his children, Larri Spade and her husband Robert of Houston, Texas also survive.
The family will receive friends from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Saturday, August 26, 2017 in the Coffman Funeral Home and Crematory.
It is suggested those desiring make memorial contributions in honor of Carls son, to the Multiple Myeloma Research Foundation, 383 Main Avenue, 5th Floor, Norwalk, Connecticut 06851.
